MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Headlined by Pauline Vien being voted the NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Year, MIT had nine student-athletes earn spots on the All-Conference Team. Vien, Annica Lam, Ashley Thomas, Gwen Flusche, Jillian Butler, and Loralei Quinn were voted to the All-Conference First Team while Nina Petulla, Laura Day, and Kelsey Dwyer were selected to the Second Team.
 
Pauline Vien

• NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Year and NEWMAC All-Conference First Team
• Ranks first in the NEWMAC in save percentage (.513), third in saves (135), and fifth in goals against average (9.44)
• Previous NEWMAC awards: Tournament Most Outstanding Player (2025, 2026), All-Conference Second Team (2024, 2025)

Annica Lam

• NEWMAC All-Conference First Team
• Ranks second in the NEWMAC in goals (70) and fourth in points (82)
• Previous NEWMAC awards: All-Conference First Team (2025)

Ashley Thomas

• NEWMAC All-Conference First Team
• Ranks first in the NEWMAC in assists (70) and points (133) and third in goals (63)
• Previous NEWMAC awards: Offensive Athlete of the Year (2024), All-Conference First Team (2024, 2025)

Gwen Flusche

• NEWMAC All-Conference First Team
• Ranks seventh in the NEWMAC in draw controls (67) and eighth in groundballs (37) while tallying 35 goals, 12 assists, and 17 caused turnover
• Previous NEWMAC awards: Rookie of the Year (2023), Defensive Athlete of the Year (2025), All-Conference First Team (2024, 2025)

Jillian Butler

• NEWMAC All-Conference First Team
• First-time honoree
• Recorded 28 goals, seven assists, 34 draw controls, 13 groundballs, and 13 caused turnovers

Loralei Quinn

• NEWMAC All-Conference First Team
• First-time honoree
• Generated 31 groundballs and 20 caused turnovers

Nina Petulla

• NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team
• First-time honoree
• Produced 37 goals, eight assists, 30 draw controls, 11 groundballs, and eight caused turnovers

Laura Day

• NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team
• Posted seven goals, three assists, 41 draw controls, and seven groundballs
• Previous NEWMAC awards: All-Conference Second Team (2025)

Kelsey Dwyer

• NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team
• Registered 12 groundballs and four caused turnovers
• Previous NEWMAC awards: All-Conference First Team (2025)

 
No. 24 MIT returns to action on Sunday, May 10 at 1:00 PM when it plays either No. 15 Gettysburg College or Husson University in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship at Jack Barry Field.
