PENNSAUKEN, N.J. -- The MIT men's heavyweight crew varsity eight earned a fourth-place finish in the Men's Varsity Eight Grand Final on Saturday at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on the Cooper River. The result earns MIT an automatic qualifier to the 2026 IRA National Championship for the fifth consecutive season.
The Engineers also earned a victory in the second varsity four B final and a runner-up finish in the second varsity eight B final to conclude the two-day regatta. Complete results are below.

- MIT finished fourth in the race for the O'Brien-Hanna Trophy as the Engineers trailed third place La Salle's finish in 05:42.530. MIT was a little less than a length ahead of fifth place Colgate (05:50.230). Drexel captured the trophy in 05:37.120 in a tight finish over second place Temple (05:38.350).
