CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT men's tennis team opened up the fall season as they hosted the MIT Classic from Friday, September 11-Sunday, September 13 on the DuPont Tennis Courts and in the J.B. Carr Tennis Bubble. The three-day tournament featured eight total teams. The Engineers collected a total of 16 singles victories and six doubles wins.

• Gallagher came out with a 2-6, 6-2,10-3 win 
• Armstrong fell in a 4-6, 6-7 (8) match

vs. Colby (3-0) 

• Liao and Gallagher earned an 8-2 win 
• Im and Sun battled out an 8-6 victory 
• Armstrong and Chen won an 8-2 match
