Marlborough, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has released its selection for the league's Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week, for the week ending September 7 with Maddy Noll of the No. 8 MIT women's soccer team earning the Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.

Noll put up a 1-0-1 record in the opening weekend for the as the junior played 180 minutes without allowing a goal. In the Engineers 5-0 win over Gordon she made three saves and followed that with a nine save performance on the road against NYU.

MIT is back on Roberts Field tonight as they host Lesley for a 7:00 PM contest.
