Why I Chose MIT:
- I chose MIT because the environment made me feel equally challenged and at home. As soon as I came on campus, I knew this was where I wanted to be. I was specifically drawn to the rigorous academics and successful sports programs, but meeting the people sealed the deal for me. At MIT, I found myself surrounded by individuals striving to make the world a better place. The environment created by the coaches and teammates made me realize that this was not something I could get anywhere else: a whole group of both academically and athletically driven people. Not only are they determined individuals; they are determined to help you become a better person. The combination of extensive opportunities regardless of interest and the positive community is something completely unique to MIT.
