Why I Chose MIT:
- To give the most common reasons for choosing MIT would be selling the school short. While the incredible academics and the amazing volleyball program were massive factors in my decision to pursue MIT, the community of hard-working, caring, and accepting people that MIT is full of was the deciding factor for me. From the volleyball team to random people I would talk to from my hometown, every single MIT student and alum that I had a conversation with went out of their way not only to be kind to me, but to give me advice and encouragement. I didn’t find that at any other school I looked at. There is not another group of people who are genuinely so excited to learn and grow not only individually, but as a community of students as well. Coming from a small town where not a lot of people shared my interests, as I talked to people from MIT, I learned that I was not alone in a lot of the things I am passionate about. Not only that, but I felt completely heard and accepted as an individual with specific interests. I am so honored and excited that I get to be a part of something as special as MIT.

- Three-time All-District selection and was named to the 2019 All-Tournament Team

- Ranked among the top five in the district in kills and blocks during her junior and senior seasons
