THE BASICS:

- The Lead: Connecticut College generated 14 unanswered goals over the course of the second and third quarters to pull away for a 25-12 win over MIT in a non-conference men's lacrosse game on Wednesday night. Senior Harris Stolzenberg (Weston, Fla.) paced the Engineers with three goals and two assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Connecticut College opened the game with four straight goals before holding a 6-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.

- MIT battled back, tying the score at seven on a goal by junior Mitch Turley (Westfield, Ind.) with 8:59 on the clock. This was as close as it would get as the Camels mounted their game-changing run.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Both Turley and junior Graham Davis (Crofton, Md.) posted hat tricks while freshman Jack Strachan (Moresville, N.C.) chipped in two goals. Freshman Dylan Marlborough (Cutchogue, N.Y.) collected eight groundballs and was 13-of-29 in face-offs. Sophomore Victor Fink (Haverford, Pa.) made two saves in the first 25 minutes of action while classmate Alexander Lynch (Roswell, Ga.) closed out the game with five stops.

- Connecticut College finished the night with advantages in shots (51-32) and groundballs (33-18).

- MIT continues its road trip on Sunday, March 12 when it visits the University of New England for a 1:00 p.m. start.
