rd, 85 points): Senior
Kaila Pfrang (Suffolk, N.Y.) and first-year
Samantha Karlson (Groton, Conn.) had five top-four finishes, including three victories.
- B Division (9
th, 127 points): Seniors
Julia Wyatt (Sudbury, Mass.) and
Zoe Fisher (River Forest, Ill.) finished in the top-five in five rounds, with their highest ranking being fourth in two rotations.
Engineers 2
- A Division (13
th, 162 points): Highlights for juniors
Emily Scherer (Oshkosh, Wis.) and
Brianna Ryan (Kapaa, Hawaii) include a victory in the 11
th race and a fourth-place finish in the sixth rotation.
- B Division (5
th, 92 points): First-year
Lucy Brock (Austin, Texas) and junior
Grace Mao (Overland Park, Kan.) ranked in the top 10 in nine out of 13 races.
Sherman Hoyt Trophy – (13th of 17, 202 points)
- MIT's performance earned it a spot at the Coed Atlantic Coast Championship Qualifier, which will be held October 9-10 at Brown University.
- A Division (14
th, 108 points): Senior
John Ped (Portland, Ore.) and junior
Elissa Ito (Tokyo, Japan) sailed the rotations 1-3 and 7-9 while seniors
Alex Abate (Kemah, Texas) and
Jeremy McCulloch (San Diego, Calif.) competed in the races 4-6. MIT was sixth in the third round and ninth in the fifth rotation.
- B Division (13
th, 94 points): Sophomore
Sam Bruce (Severna Park, Md.) was the skipper while senior
Suparnamaaya Prasad (Yorktown, Va.) and first-year
Nicholas Abate (Kemah, Texas) shared crew duties. Bruce and Abate produced five top-10 finishes, including a runner-up performance in the sixth rotation.
Hood Trophy – (12th of 17, 200 points)
- A Division (14
th, 111 points): Sophomore
Maks Groom (Seattle, Wash.) and junior
Abby VanLonkhuyzen (Yarmouth, Maine) cracked the top-10 on three occasions, highlighted by a runner-up finish in their seventh race.
- B Division (9
th, 89 points): Senior
Lulu Russell (Marion, Mass.) and first-year
Julius Heitkoetter (Austin, Texas) recorded top-10 performances in seven of the 10 rotations, including a third-place finish in the fourth round.
Harvard Invitational II – (4th of 9, 167 points)
- A Division (2
nd, 53 points): First-years
Brooke Schmelz (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) and
Mercedes Escandon (Brick, N.J.) registered six top-five finishes, highlighted by a victory in the fourth rotation.
- B Division (6
th, 114 points): Senior
Raymond Huffman (Manhasset, N.Y.) and junior
Soleh Anderlini (Washington, D.C.) entered the top-10 on three occasions as their best showing was third place in the third round.
