The Lead: The MIT men's volleyball team dropped a tough four-set match to St. John Fisher on the road on Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Set 1: SJF used a 5-0 run to take a 15-6 lead before a kill from junior
Jack Yurkanin (New Lenox, Ill.) ended the run. With the score 16-7, the Engineers scored four of the next five points to make it a 17-11 set, but the Cardinals held on for the 25-16 win.

Set 2: The Engineers used a 4-0 run to take a 9-7 lead before SJF responded with a 4-0 run of its own to go up 11-9. MIT then scored the next four to regain the lead at 13-11. The teams went back-and-forth until with the set tied at 21, the Cardinals scored four of the next six to win the set 25-23.

Set 3: Trailing 12-11, the Engineers scored six of the next 10 points to take a 17-15 lead. SJF used a 4-0 run late in the set to tie the set at 24 but MIT scored the next two points as a Yurkanin kill gave MIT the 26-24 win.

Set 4: The Cardinals used a 6-1 run to go up 16-11 but the Engineers slowly chipped away and back-to-back kills from junior
Dylan Ryan (Oviedo, Fla.) and Yurkanin got MIT to within two at 22-20, but the Cardinals held on to win the set 25-21.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Â Yurkanin led MIT with 14 kills while also adding eight digs. Senior
Tommy Ogeka (Manorville, N.Y.) also tallied eight digs in the match.

Riley Oh (Irvine, Calif.) finished with 12 digs and 12 assists in the four-set match, and first-year
Grant Oh (Irvine, Calif.) finished with eight kills and five digs.

- Ryan led the team with five blocks, and junior
Troy Oliveira (San Diego, Calif.) and R. Oh each finished with three.

- Sophomore
Max Turner (Chandler, Ariz.) finished with a team-leading 15 assists.
