- The Lead: At the Snowflake Classic at Tufts University, the No. 18 ranked MIT women's track and field team finished second overall out of 18 teams with a total of 138.75 points. MIT won five events and posted five top-20 national marks at the meet.

- First-year
Alexis Boykin (Clayton, Ohio) won the shot put and the hammer throw and also finished second in the discus to earn 28 points. In the shot put, she won with a throw of 42 feet, 4.25 inches, along with a throw of 145 feet, nine inches in the hammer. First-year
Emily Ball (Des Moines, Iowa) was third in the hammer at 136 feet, five inches, along with
Erika Leasher in sixth at 123 feet, 10 inches.

- Ball posted the No. 6 throw in the country in the discus as she won with a throw of 139 feet, to go along with a runner-up finish in the javelin at 108 feet. Boykin was second in the discus, posting a mark of 119 feet, two inches.

- Sophomore
Paige Cooksey (Ormond Beach, Fla.) placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.66 and is currently ranked 10th in the country. Junior
Einat Gavish (Newton, Mass.) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:30.36 to rank No. 19 in the nation, followed by junior
Anna Haddad (Tacoma, Wash.) in second at 12:22.86.

- In the long jump, sophomore
Emma Martin (North Andover, Mass.) ranks 15th in the country as she won the event with a jump of 18 feet, 1.5 inches. Senior
Yilinn Yang (Ardsley, N.Y.) finished third in the long jump at 17 feet, 2.25 inches. Junior
Laena Tieng (Kent, Wash.) posted the No. 14 mark in the country as she was third in the triple jump at 36 feet, 11 inches. Martin finished in seventh as she jumped 34 feet, 9.5 inches.

Sonia Purohit (Branchburg, N.J.) placed second in the 400 at 59.50 seconds, along with first-year
Christina Crow (Mercer Island, Wash.) in fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:24.63. Junior
Anna Chau (Salem, Ore.) crossed in fourth in the 1,500 meters in 4:52.69, with senior
Alana Chandler (Chicago, Ill.) finishing seventh at 5:01.87.

Tolu Akinbo (Naperville, Ill.) finished in a tie for fourth in the high jump as she cleared four feet, 9.75 inches. Senior
Jacqueline Ahrens (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) was third in the pole vault with a height of 10 feet, eight inches.
