- The Lead: Behind 11 event wins and five top-20 national performances, the MIT men's track and field team opened the home schedule with a victory over the University of Southern Maine and Bates College as the Engineers totaled 87 points on the day. Southern Maine finished in second at 37 points, while Bates was third at 35 points.

- Senior
Jeremiah Budiman (Plano, Texas) won the 60 meters in an MIT school-record time of 6.93 to beat his own school record by .01 seconds. First-year
Nolan Clement (Fullerton, Calif.) finished third at 7.08 seconds and first-year
Conrad Casebolt (Aurora, Colo.) was fourth in the same time.

- In the mile, senior
Sam Acquaviva (Newburyport, Mass.) ran a time of 4:16.33 to win the event, ranking eighth in the country as his converted time is 4:13.10. In the high jump, first-year
Jackson Bliey (Wilmington, Del.) earned the win in his first collegiate meet with a clearance of six feet, 5.5 inches to rank eighth in the country. Senior
Steven Marquez (El Centro, Calif.) also scored as he was fourth at five feet, 11.5 inches.

- Senior
Kenneth Wei (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) landed the No. 7 jump in the nation as he won the long jump with a leap of 23 feet, 5.5 inches. First-year
Nathan Shapiro (Glenview, Ill.) was up next in second with a jump of 22 feet, 0.25 inches. In addition, Wei also won the 60-meter hurdles as he crossed in a time of 8.25 seconds.

- In the triple jump, first-year
Sean Huckleberry (San Francisco, Calif.) is ranked No. 13 in the country and won the event at 45 feet, 10.75 inches. Sophomore
Sam Engebretson (Sioux Falls, S.D.) posted a pair of top-two performances as he won the shot put and was second in the weight throw. He is ranked fifth in the nation in the shot put with a toss of 53 feet 1.5 inches and was second in the weight throw competition at 55 feet.

- In the 600 meters, sophomore
Pau Ilerbaig-Bajona (Toronto, Canada) led an MIT sweep of the top in a time of 1:24.15. Graduate student
Matthew Schofield (Shorewood, Ill.) was second in 1:24.54, along with graduate student
Ellery Rajagopal (Harrison, N.Y.) in third at 1:24.81 and
Evan Schaefer in fourth at 1:25.88.

- First-year
Charlie Glass (Austin, Texas) captured the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:33.25 and he was followed in second by sophomore
Sam Amin (Olympia, Wash.) at 2:36.24. Sophomore
Ian Koe (San Mateo, Calif.) posted a winning time of 22.86 seconds in the 200 meters to go with a third-place finish from Casebolt in 23.53 seconds.

- In the pole vault, the Engineers took three of the top four spots as graduate student
Max Hardy (Houston, Texas) led MIT in second at 14 feet, 3.5 inches. Senior
Bryan Sperry (San Diego, Calif.) finished third and junior
Trey Gurga (San Diego, Calif.) was fourth as they both cleared 13 feet, 3.75 inches.

- The MIT 4x400 team won the event in a time of 3:32.63, while first-year
Gordon Su (Slingerlands, N.Y.) crossed in third in the 800 with a time of 2:02.47.
