Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Â
- Trailing 4-1, a three-pointer by Berman and a layup by sophomore
Kamsi Nwogu (Algonquin, Ill.) put MIT ahead for good at the 5:37 mark. The game remained scoreless during the next two minutes until sophomore

Paula Pieper (Greenville, S.C.), resulting in a 15-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Â
- First year
Kaya Weiser (Villanova, Pa.) buried a three-pointer 16 seconds into the second stanza, continuing the Engineers' run with their lead eventually growing to 32-8 courtesy of Pieper's trifecta with 2:06 on the clock. Wellesley replied with a three-pointer of its own and then an exchange of baskets followed, moving the score to 34-13 at halftime.
Â
- MIT maintained its comfortable cushion throughout the third quarter as a jumper by first year
Alice Hall (Ambler, Pa.) at the buzzer made the score 54-25.
Â
- The Engineers continued to cruise in the fourth quarter as their largest lead reached 35 points (68-33) courtesy of a three-pointer by graduate student
Anna Broski (Stillman Valley, Ill.) with 1:49 remaining. The Blue immediately responded with a jumper, resulting in the final score.
