- The Lead: On Saturday afternoon, the No. 6 ranked MIT women's track and field team competed at the Springfield College Triangle Classic as the Engineers posted nine top-10 finishes and one event victory.

Hailey Surace (Snohomish, Wash.) finished second in the pole vault and is now ranked ninth in the country as she cleared a personal-best height of 12 feet, 5.5 inches. First-year
Katelyn Howard (Lake Oswego, Ore.) finished 11th at nine feet, 10 inches, along with junior
Savannah Gordon (El Cajon, Calif.) in 14th place after clearing eight feet, 10.25 inches.

- Sophomore
Emily Ball (Des Moines, Iowa) picked up the victory in the weight throw with a toss of 50 feet, 0.75 inches to go along with a runner-up finish in the shot put at 39 feet, three inches. First-year
Lilia Ould-Hammou (Metuchen, N.J.) was sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 44 feet, 1.5 inches and 14th in the shot put at 30 feet, 2.75 inches. Both marks are personal-bests.

Emma Martin (North Andover, Mass.) finished second in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 2.25 inches, while senior
Laena Tieng (Kent, Wash.) was sixth at 16 feet, five inches.

Katie Kempff (St. Charles, Ill.) placed third in the high jump with a height of five feet, 1.25 inches. Sophomore
Maura Kelleher (Los Altos, Calif.) finished 13th in the event after clearing four feet, 7.5 inches. On the track, sophomore
Olivia Dias (East Taunton, Mass.) finished fifth in the 600 in 1:42.22, along with senior
Emmeline MacPherson (Clinton, N.Y.) in seventh in the 200 with a time of 28.26 seconds.
