The Lead: The MIT women's lacrosse team scored four goals during the first 1:48 and never looked back as it went on to defeat Mount Holyoke College, 25-2, in its NEWMAC opener on Saturday afternoon. Senior
Ellie Rabenold (Cincinnati, Ohio) racked up five goals, two assists, four groundballs, two caused turnovers, and one draw control for the Engineers.

- Rabenold accounted for three of MIT's first four goals as senior
Lindsey Gambino (Garden City, N.Y.) buried a free-position strike at the 13:22 mark. Mount Holyoke got on the board a minute later, however, the Engineers rattled off nine unanswered goals to take a 13-1 lead with 3:10 on the clock. The Lyons capped the first quarter with a free-position goal with 1:20 remaining. First-year
Gwen Flusche (Ridgewood, N.J.) tallied five assists as Rabenold posted three goals. Graduate student
Christine Padalino (Potomac, Md.) bolstered the offense with the first goal of her career.
