- The Lead: In the final regular-season competition of the indoor season, the No. 12 ranked MIT women's track and field team competed at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on Saturday afternoon in Medford.

- In the 800 meters, junior
Julia Howarth (Barrington, R.I.) won the event in a time of 2:14.46 as she won the event by a 0.45-second margin and is ranked No. 15 in the nation heading to nationals.

- In the long jump, junior
Emma Martin (North Andover, Mass.) finished seventh with a jump of 17 feet, 0.5 inches on her final attempt. Sophomore
Emily Ball (Des Moines, Iowa) placed fifth in the weight throw as she posted a toss of 50 feet, 2.75 inches.

- First-year
Katie Kempff (St. Charles, Ill.) placed fourth in the high jump with a height of five feet, 3.25 inches as junior
Tolu Akinbo (Naperville, Ill.) followed her in seventh at five feet, 1.25 inches. First-year
Nony Otu Ugwu (Katy, Texas) was fourth in the triple jump as she posted a mark of 35 feet, 10.75 inches.

- In the mile, sophomore
Christina Crow (Mercer Island, Wash.) finished fifth at 4:59.75 as senior
Anna Haddad (Tacoma, Wash.) was eighth in a time of 5:09.82. Senior
Kirsi Rajagopal (Harrison, N.Y.) placed fourth in the 3,000 meters as she crossed in a time of 9:53.60.
