- The Lead: On Saturday, the No. 7 MIT women's track and field team posted three top-20 national marks and finished 15th overall with a total of 12 points at the UConn Northeast Challenge in Storrs, Conn.

- In the 4x400 relay, the team of junior
Madeline Hon (Manhasset, N.Y.), first-year
Shreya Kalyan (Troy, Mich.), sophomore
Marina Miller (Bel Air, Md.) and junior
Julia Howarth (Barrington, R.I.) finished sixth overall and are now ranked second nationally with a season-best time of 3:49.17. In addition, Howarth is No. 17 in the country in the 800 meters as she finished ninth in that event in an outdoor PR time of 2:14.65.

- Sophomore
Alexis Boykin (Clayton, Ohio) was seventh in the discus with a throw of 148 feet, one inch. She is now joined in the top 20 in the country by sophomore
Emily Ball (Des Moines, Iowa), who posted a personal-best of 138 feet, seven inches and is No. 20 nationally.

- Ball placed 10th in the javelin with a PR of 117 feet, 10 inches, while Boykin finished seventh in the shot put at 44 feet, 10.25 inches and 14th in the hammer throw with a distance of 162 feet.

Hailey Surace (Snohomish, Wash.) placed fourth in the pole vault as she cleared a height of 11 feet, 8.5 inches. In the triple jump, senior
Laena Tieng (Kent, Wash.) posted a season-best jump of 37 feet, 3.75 inches.
