Alexis Boykin (Clayton, Ohio), the No. 5 ranked MIT women's track and field sits in fifth place with 15 points after day two of the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the shot put, Boykin earned her second All-American honor of the championship as she finished in fourth with a throw of 47 feet, 4.25 inches on Friday afternoon.

- Sophomore
Marina Miller (Bel Air, Md.) advanced to the final of the 400 meters as she placed second in her heat and sixth overall in Friday's prelims in a personal-best time of 55.71 seconds.

- Junior
Julia Howarth (Barrington, R.I.) finished in 11th overall in the 800 meters prelims as she crossed in a time of 2:11.46 as the top 15 finishers all broke the facility record.
