Austin, Texas (May 31) - Senior Benji Grossman (Sands Point, N.Y.) and junior Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans as announced by the organization. Grossman earned first team honors while Kahler was named to the third team.
 
Overall Division III led the way with a 3.90 GPA with the first team posting a 3.93 GPA. This is the first season tennis has its own category and is not a part of the At-Large category. Grossman and Kahler are now the eighth and ninth members of the program to earn Academic All-America honors. 
 
Benji Grossman

• Mathematics major.
• MIT nominee for both the Rhodes Scholar and the Marshall Scholarship.
• Member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Society where he is on the Community Service Committee.
• Will be working full-time at Evercore Inc. as an Investment Banking Analyst.
• Two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and member of the ITA All-Academic Team.
• 2022 NEWMAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
• 17-6 record in singles play in 2023. 

Kailas Kahler

• Electrical engineering and computer science major.
• Designed a minimal game engine at Mini-Engine.
• Course lab assistant in Computation Structures.
• Undergraduate research assistant at Meta Corpus Project.
• ITA Scholar-Athlete.
• 2023 NEWMAC Player of the Year.
• Posted a 12-9 singles record.
