MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – Sophomore
Ingrid Tomovski (Bosch en Duin, Netherlands) and junior
Bailey McIntyre (Concord, Mass.) were selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America Second and Third Team, respectively, on Tuesday. Sponsored by Apex Field Hockey, the duo recorded the program's 22
nd and 23rd awards and resulted in the eighth straight season the Engineers were represented on the list. This was also the sixth time in program history and the second year in a row that MIT collected multiple All-America honors in a season.
Tomovski collected her second All-America honor as she earned a spot on the Third Team last season. She finished the year tied for second in the NEWMAC in assists (nine), tied for third in goals (15), and ranked third in points (39). During the past month, Tomovski received NEWMAC All-Conference First Team and NFHCA All-Region First Team honors. She currently has 29 goals and 13 assists for 71 points in her career.
A first-time honoree, McIntyre tied for fourth in the NEWMAC in assists (eight) and generated six goals for 20 points. A NEWMAC All-Conference First Team and an NFHCA All-Region First Team selection this year, she has compiled 12 goals and 24 assists for 48 points in her three seasons with the Engineers.
