- The Lead: On Senior Day the No. 5Â MIT women's swimming and diving concluded the dual meet portion of the regular season with a 213-77 victory over Amherst. The Engineers celebrated their seniors:
Sydney Chun (Chandler, Ariz.), Hannah Donner (Bethesda, Md.), Aria Eppinger (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Sasha Konovalenko (Mundelein, Ill.). Katherine Kostecki (St. Louis, Mo.), Evelyn Peters (Fort Mill, S.C.), Katie Sapozhnikov (Ambler, Pa.), Helen Sun (Solon, Ohio) and
Melody Wen (Cary, N.C.).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT opened the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 200-medley relay. The team of junior
Kate Augustyn (Eau Claire, Wis.), graduate student
Edenna Chen (Colorado Springs, Colo.), sophomore
Annika Naveen (Wynnewood, Pa.), and first year
Ella Roberson (Midland, Mich.) took the top spot with a time of 1:45.05. Junior
Iris Yang (Seattle, Wash.), first year
Anna Li (Boyds, Md.), sophomore
Lauren Levy (Amherst, N.Y.), and
Vivian Shao (Pittsburgh, Pa.) competed the event in 1:49.51.

- Roberson took the top spot in the 1,000-Free (10:24.84) and classmate
Camila Pierce (Raleigh, N.C.) finished in second with a time of 10:53.01.

- Augustyn won the 200-free (1:53.56) and 500-free (5:05.38).
Â
- Yang led the way in the 100-back with a mark of 56.77 followed by first year
Christina Beggs (Voorhees, N.J.) in second (1:00.22) and Li (1:00.95). Yang also took the win in the 200-back (2:04.32) with first year
Sydney Smith (Atlanta, Ga.) in second with a time of 2:05.90.

- Chen took the top spot in the 100-breast with a winning time of 1:05.36. First year
Katie Kudela (Matthews, N.C.) took second in 1:07.72, and sophomore
Kathy Zhao (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished third with a time of 1:08.86. Chen was also victorious in the 200-breast with a time of 2:22.79 followed by Kudela with a time of 2:25.49.

- Pierce took the win in the 200-fly with a time of 2:10.62 and first year
Katherine Yao (Frisco, Texas) finished in second with a time of 2:12.17.

- First year
Kailey Simons (Williston Park, N.Y.) earned the win in the 100-fly with a narrow victory over Chun. Simons touched the wall in 57.06 followed by Chun with a time of 57.45.

- MIT ended the meet with an almost five-second victory in the 400-free relay. The team of Smith, Augustyn, sophomore
Sonia Seliger (New York, N.Y.), and Roberson took the top spot with an NCAA B Cut time of 3:28.26.
