Men's Tennis Kicks Off Season at MIT Invite

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT men's tennis team opened up the fall season at the MIT Invitational on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Doubles:

Andreas Sillaste and Kobe Ellenbogen (Amherst) def. sophomores Grant Gallagher (Irvine, Calif.) and Adam Sun (Glendale, Ariz.) – 8-4
Spencer Leung and Rex Harrison (Amherst) def. graduate student Joseph Li (Naperville, Calif.) and sophomore Shrish Choudhary (Fremont, Calif.) – 8-3
Senior Ryan Xiao (Cary, N.C.) and graduate student Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) def. Cal Wider and Sujit Chepuri (Amherst) – 8-3
Edred Opie and Ethan Ohm (Amherst) def. sophomore Siddharth Marathe (Pune, India) and graduate student Tim Schmedding (Hamburg, Germany) – 8-7 (6)
