Fiona Lee's (Ladera Ranch, Calif.) run came to an end in the semifinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Regional Championship on Sunday at Bowdoin College. The Engineers were also represented in a doubles consolation match by senior
Jay Lu (Austin, Texas) and first-year
Megan Sun (Newbury Park, Calif.).
HOW IT HAPPENED - Singles:
- The No. 3 seed in the A Singles Draw, Lee fell to No. 2 seed Olivia Soffer of Babson College, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.
- This was the fifth time since 2019 that MIT had a student-athlete advance to the semifinals.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Doubles:
- Lu and Sun were defeated by Julia Ross and Caroline Stuhlfaut of Bowdoin, 8-7 (5).
