Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) advanced to tomorrow's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Regional semifinals with two victories on Saturday afternoon at the Tufts Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Singles:
- Kahler, who entered as the sixth-ranked player at the regional, defeated Noah Lewis (Gaithersburg, Md.) of Middlebury in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
- Kahler then faced Alex Ganchev (Plovdiv, Bulgaria) of Tufts in the quarterfinals. Kahler won set one, 7-5 but Ganchev forced a decisive third set with a 6-3 win. Kahler held him off with a 7-5 win in the third set.Â
B-Draw
- Siddharth Marathe (Pune, India) opened the day with an 8-2 win over Jack Ling (Princeton, N.J.) of Williams. He fell to Andrej Djokic (Brcko, Bosnia and Herzegovina) of Tufts, 7-5, 6-3 in the next round.
