MARLBOROUGH, Mass.- After a successful MIT Winter Invite, Mary Feliz and the 800 Free Relay team of Feliz, Belise Swartwood, Sydney Smith, and Ella Roberson were named the NEWMAC Athletes of the Week.
Feliz swam the lead-off leg of the 800 Free Relay win and her time of 1:49.84 is the fourth-fastest 200 time in program history and currently ranks fifth in Division III. In the 200 Fly she won in 2:02.31 which is the fifth fastest time in the country and is faster than last year's invited time. In the 500 Free she took second in 4:53.80, a time that is fourth in the country. Overall, she was part of three relay wins to go with her first and second place finish.
The 800 Relay team took the top spot in 7:23.52 which is the fastest time in the country so far this season and the second fastest in program history.
