MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – The MIT field hockey team received 26 individual honors and qualified for the National Academic Team Award as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). The Engineers earned their 23rd consecutive national team honor as they compiled a 3.77 GPA on a 4.0 scale during the 2024 fall semester.
 
MIT placed 18 student-athletes on the National Academic Squad, which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year. In addition, the Engineers saw eight student-athletes earn Scholar of Distinction accolades as they each had a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2024-25 academic year.
