CAMBRIDGE, Mass - The No. 23 MIT men's tennis team faced Vassar in the J.B. Carr Tennis Bubble on Saturday afternoon and came away with a decisive 6-1 win.  
 
THE BASICS: 

• Score: No. 23 MIT 6, Vassar 1 
• Records: MIT (1-1 Overall), Vassar (1-1 Overall) 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• MIT swept all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead into singles play. 
• Graduate student Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) took a 6-3, 6-2 win in No. 1 singles and junior Ryan Xiao (Cary, N.C.) followed with a 6-3, 6-3 win in two singles. 
• Sophomore Adam Sun (Glendale, Ariz.) earned a 6-2, 7-5 win in No. 3 singles while classmates Shrish Choudhary (Fremont, Calif.) and Siddharth Marathe (Pune, India) also grabbed straight-set victories in four and five singles.
