CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The MIT women's lightweight crew team matched up with Boston University and Harvard-Radcliffe on a gusty Saturday on the Charles River. The Engineers finished third in both the varsity eight and doubles races and fourth in the varsity fours race.

THE BASICS:

• V8+: 3rd of 3
• 2x: 3rd of 3
• V4+: 4th of 4

RACE BY RACE: 

• V8+: BU had the top time in the varsity eights race, outpacing Radcliffe in 7:03.5. Radcliffe was second in 7:08.6 with MIT in third in 7:25.8. 
• 2x Race time: The same result held in the doubles race, with BU winning in 8:36.6. Radcliffe was second in 8:41.1. MIT took third in 9:09.3.
• V4+: MIT finished the varsity fours race in 9:35.6 to take fourth. Radcliffe was first in 8:46.5, followed by Brown (8:58.4) and BU (9:12.2).
