PENNSAUKEN, NJ — The MIT women's lightweight crew team won five medals across four Grand Finals on the final day of the 2025 Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday on the Cooper River. MIT's successful Saturday included a 1-2 sweep of the top two spots in the 2x Grand Final where Avery Reischer-Craft and Katherine Wei captured gold. 

THE BASICS:

• V4+: 2nd of 6 
• 2x: 1st and 2nd of 6
• 2V4+: 2nd of 6
• V4x: 2nd of 5

RACE BY RACE: 

• V4+: The V4+ took silver in a tightly contested final that saw the top three boats separated by less than four seconds. MIT was second in the race for the Margaret McNiff Trophy in 07:32.928.
• 2x: Reischer-Craft and Wei distanced themselves from the field in an impressive performance that earned the MIT A boat gold in 07:56.897. The MIT B boat was second, taking silver in 08:20.597.
• 2V4+: MIT added another medal in the 2V4+ final, as the Engineers 'A' crew finished second to Georgetown in 7:56.723. MIT's 'B' boat was fifth in 8:37.915.
• V4x: MIT won the fourth of its four silver medals in the V4x Grand Final, finishing second in 07:41.370.
