Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) competed in the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Singles Championship hosted at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Kahler won his first match but fell in the second round.
In the opening round, Kahler faced junior Paulo Pocasangre Kreling (Guacimo, Costa Rica) of Kenyon. Kahler took set one by a 6-2 score. Pocasangre Kreling made a push in the second set, getting to 5-5, but Kahler won the next two sets to prevail 7-5 and advance to the second round to face Kael Shah (Nairobi, Kenya) of Denison. After dropping the first set 6-4, Kahler rallied to win the third set 7-5 and force a decisive third set, but Shah prevailed, 6-1.
