CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT first-year
Fiona Lee (Ladera Ranch, Calif.) was selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship while classmate
Chloe Zeng (Austin, Texas) was named a third alternate. This is the fourth year in a row the Engineers have qualified for this event.
Lee has compiled a record of 18-4 this year, including a 6-2 mark while playing in the No. 1 singles position. Zeng has a 16-8 record which includes a 7-2 performance at No. 1 singles and a 4-3 total at No. 2 singles.
The individual championships will be held May 24-27 at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, Calif. The draw will be released on Friday, May 23 not before 1:00 PM Eastern.
As a team, No. 7 MIT returns to action on Saturday, May 10 in the second round of the NCAA Championship when it will play either No. 15 Tufts University or Nichols College at host No. 8 Bowdoin College.
