Artemis Pados Voted to CSC Academic All-America Third Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT junior Artemis Pados (Delray Beach, Fla.) was voted to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Division III Women's Tennis Third Team. A first-time honoree, she became the ninth student-athlete in program history to receive this award. The Engineers are the all-time leaders across all divisions in producing CSC Academic All-Americas with 455 honors.
 
Playing in the No. 1 doubles position this season, Pados compiled a 13-5 record in dual matches while finishing with a 15-7 overall ledger. She collected her third consecutive NEWMAC All-Conference Doubles First Team award as MIT captured the program's eighth consecutive NEWMAC Championship and advanced to the regional final of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships for the sixth year in a row.
 
A two-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team qualifier and Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete, Pados is majoring in electrical engineering and computer science. She is conducting a UROP in the MIT Network Coding and Reliable Communications Group and was an undergraduate teaching assistant in linear algebra and optimization as well as physics. A member of the HKN EECS Honor Society, Pados is also a certified tutor. In addition, she is a mentor at Symbiotic STEM, a program for middle and high school students which aims to improve diversity and inclusion in STEM.
