GILBERT, Ariz. – For the 22
nd year in a row, the MIT women's tennis team qualified for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award as announced by the organization on Wednesday. The Engineers produced a team GPA of 3.67 while 10 student-athletes received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
To be named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- Have a grade point average of at least a 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year
- Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
Overall in 2025, 1,269 Division III women's tennis student-athletes were named as ITA Scholar-Athletes and 165 women's tennis programs were awarded All-Academic Team accolades. Teams needed an overall grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.0 scale) during the current academic year to earn All-Academic Team honors.
