CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The No. 30 MIT men's tennis team earned its second NEWMAC won as the Engineers took a 6-1 win over Emerson on Friday afternoon at the duPont Tennis Courts. 

 
THE BASICS: 

• Score:  MIT 6, Emerson 1 
• Records: MIT 4-2 Overall (2-0 NEWMAC), Emerson 5-6 Overall (0-1 NEWMAC) 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• MIT won two of three doubles to take the first point. The Engineers earned wins in No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Tyler Li and Hunter Liao took a 6-3 win in the top doubles slot followed by a 6-1 win by Grant Gallagher and Cole Armstrong.  
• Liao won No. 1 singles by a 6-2, 7-5 score while Li followed with 6-1, 6-2 win in two singles. 
• Henry Feldman captured a 6-1, 6-0 win in No. 4 with Ethan Nguyen earning a 6-1, 6-2 win in No. 5 singles. 
• Cole Armstrong wrapped up the day with a 6-1, 6-1 in No. 6 singles.
