MARLBOROUGH, Mass.  – MIT's Anastasia Samets and Katie Driscoll were named the NEWMAC Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week for the week ending April 26. This is the duo's second time receiving the award this season and the third week in a row the Engineers earned this honor.
 
In a 2-0 week for No. 10 MIT, Samets and Driscoll won both of their matches at No. 2 doubles. The duo claimed the doubles point with a 6-0 victory as the Engineers went on to defeat Springfield College, 7-0, on Tuesday. In a 4-3 victory at No. 7 Babson College on Saturday, Samets and Driscoll won three games in a row to come from behind for a 6-4 victory.
 
As the No. 1 seed in the NEWMAC Championship, MIT will host either No. 4 Smith College or No. 5 Springfield in the semifinals on Saturday, May 2 at 12:00 PM.
