Driscoll Named NEWMAC Women’s Tennis Rookie of the Year, MIT Earns Coaching Staff of the Year Accolades

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Headlined by Katie Driscoll being named the NEWMAC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Year and head coach Carol Matsuzaki and her staff receiving Coaching Staff of the Year accolades, MIT saw nine student-athletes receive a total of 11 NEWMAC All-Conference Team honors. Driscoll along with Saina Deshpande, Chloe Zeng, Anastasia Samets, Alaina Kolli, Artemis Pados, Rayna Li, Sophia Yang, and Carley Chen represented the Engineers on the list.

MIT continues its season this week when it hosts a regional for the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship. Recipients of a first-round bye, the Engineers will face either The College of New Jersey or Nichols College on Saturday, May 9.
