MIT Ranks Third on WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll

ATLANTA, Ga. – A grade point average of 3.846 on a 4.0 scale during the past academic year resulted in the MIT women's basketball team ranking third on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. This was the second year in a row the Engineers appeared on the list and the ninth time in program history.

MIT has entered the top 10 on five occasions, reaching a program-best second place in 2024-25. This year, the Engineers placed seven student-athletes on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team. On the court, MIT compiled a 14-12 overall record and an 8-3 mark in conference play.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. A team must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach who must be a member of the WBCA to be recognized. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
