Adam Ivatorov Named CSC Academic All-American

GREENWOOD, Indiana – Adam Ivatorov of the MIT Water Polo team has been named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American for the second straight season as the organization released its Men's At-Large selections. 

Ivatorov is the first player in program history to be a two-time Academic All-American as the program has seen six student athletes earn Academic All-America laurels. He became the program leader in career goals, finishing with 328. For the season, he scored 78 goals and drew 119 ejections. Additionally, he was named an ACWPC Second Team All-American and earned ACWPC Outstanding Honors, NWPC Second Team All-Conference, and NWPC All-Tournament Honorable Mention. He finishes his career as a three-time All-American, becoming the fifth three-time All-American in team history.  
 
Out of the pool Ivatorov was the President of the MIT Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and held the positions of Founder, President, and Professional Development Chair of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity while also being a member of the MIT School of Engineering Student Advisory Group. He is now working at Bain and Company in New York City. 
  
The Academic All-America Teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in their sport and in the classroom. Sports included in the men's at-large program are fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling. MIT is the all-time leader across all divisions in producing CSC Academic All-Americas with 458 honors.
