Three Engineers Earn All-America Honors at NCAA Championship

THE BASICS:

- Location: Birmingham CrossPlex (Birmingham, Ala.)

- The Lead: Led by a runner-up finish from freshman Yorai Shaoul (Raanana, Israel) in the triple jump, the No. 24 ranked MIT men's track and field team placed 18th overall out of 66 teams with 12.5 points at the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track Championship. Overall, the Engineers had three student-athletes earn All-America recognition over the two-day event.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Sophomore Alec Reduker (Newburyport, Mass.) earned All-American accolades with a tie for eighth on his third attempt at the height of six feet, nine inches. This marks his first career All-America accolade.
