MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – No. 22 MIT men's track and field senior
Jake Cobb has been named the NEWMAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending 4/5/26. The honor is the first of Cobb's career.
Cobb, a native of West Deptford, N.J. ran 9:09.15 in the 3000m Steeplechase at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational, finishing seventh overall and first among Division III runners at the cross-divisional meet. Cobb's time is the fourth-fastest steeplechase in Division III this season and the fastest in the East Region following this weekend's competition.
No. 22 MIT will compete this weekend at the Providence Friar Invitational (April 10) and Tufts Invitational (April 10-11).
