The Lead: The No. 8 MIT women's swimming & diving team captured 11 victories and set six pool records as the Engineers defeated Coast Guard, 181-61 on Saturday afternoon.

1-Meter Diving
- The Engineers went 1-2-3 with first-year Ava Dijstelbloem (Rose Valley, Pa.) leading the way with 249.60 points followed by first-year Rachel Loh (Arcadia, Calif.) (241.87 points) and junior Katelin Du (Scarsdale, N.Y.) (235.27).
400-Yard Medley Relay
- The MIT 'A' team of first-year Katarina Augustyn (Eau Claire, Wisc.), junior Edenna Chen (Colorado Springs, Colo.), senior Olivia McGrath (Chevy Chase, Md.), and sophomore Helen Sun (Solon, Ohio) set a pool record with their winning time of 3:59.18. Augustyn's opening backstroke time of 58.39 also set a new pool record.
- First-year Iris Yang (Seattle, Wash.), graduate student Sara Nicholas (Wilmette, Ill.), sophomore Sydney Chun (Chandler, Ariz.) and sophomore Evelyn Peters (Fort Mill, S.C.) captured second place with a time of 4:02.77.
200-Yard Freestyle
- Senior Laura Rosado (New Haven, Conn.) finished first, clocking in with a time of 1:59.62 and sophomore Katie Sapozhnikov (Ambler, Pa.) finished second with a time of 2:02.72.
50-Yard Free
- Sophomore Melody Wen (Cary, N.C.) won the event with a time of 24.77 with junior Jennifer Xiong (Brookfield, Conn.) finishing third with a mark of 25.26.
200-Yard IM
- Augustyn finished in first with a new pool record time of 2:09.16 followed by E. Chen in second (2:11.89).

3-Meter Dive
- The Engineers went 1-2-3 in the event as Loh won the event with a score of 261.30 followed by Du in second with a mark of 240.83 and junior Megha Maran (Elk Grove, Calif.) in third with a score of 239.33.

200-Yard Butterfly
- MIT finished first and second, led by junior Angelina Zhang (New York, N.Y.) with a pool record time of 2:07.83, followed by sophomore Sydney Chun (Chandler, Ariz.) (2:11.96).

100-Yard Freestyle
- The Engineers finished 1-2-3 with Sun capturing first with a time of 55.05 and Xiong finishing just behind in second with a time of 55.13. Wen touched the wall in third with a time of 55.72.

200-Yard Backstroke
- MIT swept the top spots led by Augustyn in first with a new pool record time of 2:06.00, followed by Rosado (2:10.51) and Yang (2:12.18).

500-Yard Freestyle
- Sapozhnikov captured second with a time of 5:30.78.

200-Yard Breaststroke
- E. Chen set a pool record with her winning time of 2:24.22. Nicholas finished in second with a mark of 2:30.75.

400-Yard Freestyle Relay
- The top-two spots belonged to the Engineers with the 'A' team of Sun, Wen, Yang and Rosado touching the wall first with a time of 3:39.41 while the 'B' relay team of first-year Kimberly Dutta (New York, N.Y.), sophomore Miranda Cai (Cranbury, N.J.), Xiong and McGrath finished in 3:45.29.

- MIT is scheduled to return to action on Friday, January 21 for a dual meet against #13 Williams and #5 NYU. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the Zesiger Center Pool.
