Kansas City, Mo. (November 30, 2022) - Four members of the MIT women's soccer team have been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region II Team. Graduate student
Karenna Groff (Weston, Mass.) and junior
Julia Chen (La Jolla, Calif.) were named First Team All-Region while sophomore
Ashley English (Sheboygan, Wis.) and junior
Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.) were named to the Third Team. In addition, Groff was named a Third Team All-American and was one of seven student-athletes named who earned the second All-America honors of their careers.

Julia Chen
- First All-Region honor.
- NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Year.
- Helped lead the MIT defense that allowed just 11 goals.
- MIT posted 13 shutouts during the season.
- Appeared in 21 matches this year.

Karenna Groff
- Second All-Region and All-America honor.
- NCAA Woman of the Year Finalist.
- Three-time First Team All-NEWMAC.
- Finished the year with nine goals and 26 points.
- Second all-time in program history in goals (50) and points (128).

Meagan Rowlett
- First All-Region honor.
- Two-time NEWMAC First Team All-Conference
- Leads the team in goals (12) and points (28).
- Scored three game-winning goals.
- Tied career-high with four points against Bridgewater St. and Johnson and Wales.

- First All-Region honor.
- Second Team NEWMAC All-Conference.
- Third on the team in points (13) and goals (6).
- Scored four game-winning goals during the season.
- Posted a season-high three points against Roger Williams.
