- In doubles play, the Engineers got on the board at the No. 1 spot as junior
Yuka Perera (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and sophomore
Kimberly Liao (Commack, N.Y.) defeated
Ana Hatfield and
Ella Subramanian by an 8-4 margin. MIT also earned an 8-4 win at No. 3, along with an 8-7 (2) victory by junior
Sarah Pertsemlidis (Coppell, Texas) and graduate student
Megan Guenther (Willowbrook, Ill.) at No. 2.

- Pertsemlidis opened singles play with a 6-1, 6-0 straight-set win over Hatfield at No. 1, followed by a 6-1, 6-0 victory by Liao at No. 2 to clinch the match win. The Engineers also earned straight-set singles wins by junior
Seraphin Castelino (Superior, Colo.), first-year
Jessica Lu (Austin, Texas) and Perera, while the Judges took a three-set win by
Anastasia Sia at the No. 6 singles position.

- The Engineers are back in action from March 4-6 at ITA Division III Indoor Nationals in Lexington, Kentucky. MIT opens the tournament on Friday, March 4th as the team takes on the University of Chicago.
