The Lead: Junior
Edenna Chen (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was lights-out in her National Championship performance in the 100-yard breaststroke event, setting a new school record and coming close to breaking the Division III record in the event. The Engineers are currently eighth overall with 132 points while Kenyon leads with 311 total points going into the final day of competition.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

100-Yard Breast
- Chen was electric in the event as her prelim time of 1:00.29 shaved .14 seconds off her previous personal-best time that she set at NEWMACs, setting the stage for what was an exciting championship final.

- In the final, Chen and
Jordan Wentzel of St. Kate's were close before Chen was able to pull away in the final stretch to bring home her first National Championship. Her finals time of 59.79 set a new program record and was fractions away from the Division III record of 59.77 that was set in 2018 by
KT Kustritz of Denison.

- Chen now has eight All-America honors in her career.

Kate Augustyn (Eau Claire, Wis.) swam to a 13th-place finish with a time of 7:32.47.
