Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) represented the MIT men's tennis team at the ITA New England Regionals over the weekend at Bowdoin College.

INSIDE THE SINGLES BRACKET:
- Papacica fell in the opening round to top-seed
Matt Kandel of Williams, 6-0, 6-1.

- Kahler cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win in his opening round match against
Aidan Jensen of Colby Sawyer. He then rallied to defeat
Noah Lewis of Middlebury, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 to advance to the round of 16.

- In his match against
Ethan Bradley of Bowdoin, Kahler won the first set in a tightly contested tie break 7-6 (13) and won the second set, 6-1 to advance to the quarterfinals.

- Against
Julian Wu of Middlebury, Kahler dropped the first set 7-5 but rallied to force a decisive third set with a 7-6 win in set two. Wu pulled away in the third and advanced to the semifinals with a 6-1 set three win.

INSIDE THE DOUBLES BRACKET:

- Kahler and Papacica advanced to the round of 16 with an 8-4 win over
Andrew Nelson and
Rico Buoro of Trinity. The team then fell to
Sacha Maes and
Arush Ganji of Tufts, 8-3.
