Men's Tennis Opens Fall Season at MIT Invite

THE BASICS:


- Location: Cambridge, Mass. (DuPont Tennis Courts/Tennis Bubble)
 
- The Lead: The MIT men's tennis team opened up its fall schedule over the weekend as the Engineers hosted the MIT Invite featuring many local schools.
 
HIGHLIGHTS:

- MIT swept doubles play against Babson. Graduate student Daniel Papacica (Carmel, Calif.) and senior Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) took number one doubles from Caymus Choi and Jonah Wilson, 8-2.
 
- Papacica and Kahler also won their one singles match against Ethan Bradley and Reid Staples, 8-4.
 
- MIT won all of its singles matches against Skidmore.
 
- Kahler defeated Kobe Ellenboden of Amherst, 6-3, 6-4 in one singles.
 
UP NEXT:

- Selected Engineers will head to Brunswick, Maine from Friday, September 29-Sunday October 1 for the ITA Regionals hosted by Bowdoin.
