Cambridge, Mass. - MIT men's volleyball graduate student
Nick Gustafson (San Diego, Calif.) has been named the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) Co-Player of the Week the conference announced. This is the second Player of the Week honor for Gustafson.

During a 2-1 week for MIT, Gustafson recorded 55 kills, three aces, 15 digs, and hit .418. He had back-to-back 20-plus kill matches and currently leads MIT with 152 kills this season, which is the fifth most in the UVC.

Gustafson opened the week with a 10 kill, five dig match in the Engineers' 3-0 sweep of Elms. He followed that with 24 kills and seven digs in a five-set loss to No. 6 Vassar,ÂÂÂÂ and totaled 21 kills, three aces, and two digs in a four-set win over Endicott. He has recorded double-digit kills in all but two matches this season for MIT and has posted three 20-plus kill outings so far this season.

The Engineers return to action with a UVC matchup on Friday, February 23rd when they welcome Elmira to Rockwell Cage for a 7 p.m. match.
