CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - MIT men's volleyball first-year Nate Toth has been named the United Volleyball Coaches (UVC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending January 19.
Toth collected 28 kills and posted a .324 hitting percentage as the Engineers opened the season with three wins during the week. Toth also totaled 10 aces, 13 digs and two blocks. In his first collegiate action, Toth collected four kills against Purchase and followed with nine against Arcadia to go along with eight digs. He then put up 15 kills and five aces in a 3-1 win over Rutgers-Newark.
The Engineers are back on the court tomorrow, Wednesday, January 21 for a 7:00 PM match at Emmanuel.
