The Lead: The MIT men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Raleigh Relays and generated four top-five finishes along with a pair of personal records at the Tufts Snowflake Classic on Saturday.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS – RALEIGH RELAYS:
- Graduate student
Kenneth Wei (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) captured sixth place in the long jump with a mark of 7.21m (23' 8").
- Junior
Sam Engebretson (Sioux City, S.D.) ranked 25
th in the hammer throw with a distance of 54.15m (177' 8").
- Junior
Ian Koe (San Mateo, Calif.) placed 44
th in the 200m with a time of 22.15.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS – TUFTS SNOWFLAKE CLASSIC:
- Senior
Will Liu (San Marino, Calif.) won the 100m with a time of 10.91, resulting in a new PR.
- First-year
Jonah Goldstein (Pasadena, Calif.) was the runner up in the javelin with a mark of 54.31m (178' 2").
- Sophomore
Kristian Praizner (Folsom, Pa.) placed fourth in the 200m with a time of 22.39.
- Senior
Spencer Yandrofski (Mebane, N.C.) finished fifth in the high jump as he cleared 1.77m (5' 9.75").
- First-year
Davis Lee (Mountain Brook, Ala.) had a personal-best performance in the 800m as he crossed the finish line in 2:05.77 to finish in 17
th place.
