Meet: Farley Inter Regional Extravaganza

The Lead: The MIT men's track and field team won five events and had three nationally-ranked performances at the two-day Farley Inter Regional Extravaganza held at Williams College this weekend.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
- Junior
Sam Engebretson (Sioux Falls, S.D.) won the discus (51.06m / 167' 6") and hammer throw (57.75m / 189' 6") while placing third in the shot put (16.36m / 53' 8.25").
- Sophomore
Jake Cobb (West Deptford, N.J.) claimed first place in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:00.17.
- Graduate student
Kenneth Wei (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) won the long jump with a leap of 7.14m (23' 5.25").
- Junior
Ian Koe (San Mateo, Calif.) finished first in the 400m with a time of 48.34.
- The 4x400 relay, comprised of sophomore
Conrad Casebolt (Aurora, Colo.), sophomore
Kristian Praizner (Folsom, Pa.), first-year
Connor Sterling (New Milford, Conn.), and Koe, placed second with a time of 3:14.23.
- Sophomore
Sean Huckleberry (San Francisco, Calif.) was the runner up in the triple jump with a mark of 14.37m (47' 1.75").
- In the 800m, junior
Ziyad Hassan (Ashburn, Va.) finished second in 1:49.27.
- Senior
Spencer Yandrofski (Mebane, N.C.) placed fifth in the high jump at 1.88m (6' 2").
- Sophomore
Enoch Ellis (Garland, Texas) was fifth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.49.
- In the 1500m, senior
Henry Hardart (Annapolis, Md.) ranked fifth (3:47.76) while junior
Simon Opsahl (Redlands, Calif.) crossed the finish line next in 3:47.84.
