CAMBRIDGE/MEDFORD, Mass. – Senior
Alexis Boykin (Clayton, Ohio) set a new PR of 20.66m (67-9½) in the weight throw, registering the top Division III mark this season and the number two mark in Division III history in the event, as the No. 1 ranked MIT women's track & field team was in action Saturday, competing at both the Tufts Cupid Challenge at the Gantcher Center and the Harvard Crimson Open at Gordon Indoor Track.

Gillian Roeder (Delmar, N.Y.) and senior
Christina Crow (Mercer Island, Wash.) dominated the 3000m, sweeping the top two spots while recording the 7
th and 12
th best Division III times in the event this season. In all, the Engineers won six events and earned 16 top five times.

HOW IT HAPPENED – TRACK EVENTS:
- Tufts Cupid Challenge
- 200m: Junior Shreya Kalyan (Troy, Mich.) was fourth in 26.39 seconds.
- 400m: Senior Marina Miller (Bel Air, Md.) won the event in 57.68 seconds, while first year Meave Sullivan (San Antonio, Texas) finished fifth in 1:00.24.
- 800m: Junior Krystal Montgomery (San Jose, Calif.) won the event in 2:14.51 seconds, senior Olivia Dias (East Taunton, Mass.) was third with a PR of 2:18.01, and sophomore Megan Diulus (Akron, Ohio) was fifth in 2:21.80.
- 1 Mile: Sophomore Heather Jensen (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), classmate Jessica Meza (Columbus, Ind.), and first year Kate Friedman (Greenwich, Conn.) all finished in the top ten, paced by Jensen's fourth place time of 5:08.76. Meza was seventh with a PR of 5:15.73 and Friedman was ninth in 5:16.76.
- 3000m: Roeder won the event in 9:42.26, followed by Crow's runner-up time of 9:51.66.
- 4x400m: The Engineers capped the day with a victory in the 4 x 400m relay, as the team of Dias, Marina Miller, Kalyan and Montgomery finished with a time of 3:55.26.

- 60m: Sophomore JoJo Miller (Marietta, Ga.) finished 20th in the preliminaries with a time of 8.17, first year Shannon Cordle (Marysville, Ohio) was 24th with a PR of 8.25 and first year Neva Miller (Marietta, Ga.) was 39th with a PR of 8.60.
- 200m: Cordle added a 36th place finish with a PR of 28.15.
HOW IT HAPPENED – FIELD EVENTS:
- Tufts Cupid Challenge
- Shot Put: MIT dominated the event, earning four top five finishes. Boykin took first with a mark of 14.64m. Senior Emily Ball (Des Moines, Iowa) was the runner-up with a mark of 13.19m (43-3 ¼). Sophomore Lily Siegelman (Newton, Mass.) and first year Amelia Bronhard-Yates (Ringoes, N.J.) took fourth and fifth, respectively. Siegelman had a mark of 11.26m (36-11 ½) and Bronhard-Yates had a season best mark of 11.19m (36-8 ½).
- Weight Throw: Boykin and sophomore Macy Brennan (Westlake, Ohio) finished in the top five for MIT. Brennan was fifth with a mark of 14.23m.
- Harvard Crimson Open
- High Jump: Katie Kempff (St. Charles, Ill.) was the runner-up, clearing 1.62m (5-3 ¾).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Boykin has been nothing short dominant this season as she continues to lead the nation in both the shot put and weight throw.
- Kalyan was already 30th in the region in the 200m and will move up based on Saturday's performance.
- Marina Miller and Sullivan continue to rank among the top ten in the region in the 400m.
- Dias will move to second in the region in the 800m with her PR, trailing only Montgomery.
- Including Jensen, MIT has five of the top ten times in the region in the Mile. The Engineers also have six of the top ten times in the 3000m.
- Ball is currently 18th in the Shot Put following the runner-up finish.
- Dias now ranks in the top 50 in Division III in the 800m.
- Crow's mark in the 3000m dropped her indoor PR by nearly 10 seconds.

- MIT will host the Gordon Kelly Invitational on Saturday, February 15. The Engineers will also be in action on Saturday at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University and at the Tufts Stampede.
